Grief is the natural response to loss. Loss is a natural, and even an essential, part of life. Life blossoms and fades in each moment. Every human experiences loss and grief. And yet, when grief arrives, we are often unprepared, don’t know what to do, and feel alone, adrift, and in pain.

Much of the information we learn about dealing with loss can be unhelpful. Yoga therapy for grief and loss helps us unravel some of our complex understanding of why suffering like grief happens. We honor change as a constant in life, even when it is unexpected. Eventually, with consistent work, we begin to find meaning in experiences of loss, set a new direction, and reconnect to life on a deeper level.

Most sessions last approximately 60 minutes. There is no minimum number of sessions recommended, as each person is unique and our work together will vary based on personal intention and goals. Students often study individually for months at a time.
